2. What is ItemHQ?

ItemHQ® is a comprehensive online Product Information Management System (PIMS) developed to expedite and streamline the transfer of item information between the manufacturer and the wholesaler. ItemHQ® is designed to expedite the demands of ecommerce, allowing participating manufacturers and importers to input, specifications, images, logos, sales copy and other key information, which creates a simple, accessible forum for wholesalers to seamlessly export this data to create catalogs, flyers, brochures, specification sheets, websites and more.

4. How do I become a member of NASGW?

To become a member of NASGW go to www.nasgw.org, click on the Apply for Membership page or contact nasgw@nasgw.org for details.

5. How do I sign up for ItemHQ?

To register for ItemHQ® you must be a sporting goods manufacturer that is interested in adding your products to the ItemHQ®(PIMS) database. To register select the Get Registered link and enter the required information. This is a two (2) step process. You must agree to the Terms of Service on the second step to complete the registration. Once you have agreed to the Terms of Service you will be activated within 3 business days. You will receive an email with you user name and password to begin adding your products.

6. How much does it cost to be a NASGW member?

Manufacturer annual dues are $500, which includes the benefit of ItemHQ®.

7. Do I need to install any software?

ItemHQ® is a web-based application. The only software you need is a Web Browser and an Internet connection. This site works best with Internet Explorer 7.0. Adobe Acrobat Reader is needed to view some documents on PIMS and may be downloaded at http://www.adobe.com/acrobat/readme2_allversions.html.

8. What type of Internet connection and browser do I need?
 
It is recommended that you have a high speed internet connection. You will experience slower downloads if you are using a dialup connection.
This site works best with Internet Explorer 7.0.
Additional browser support will be available in Version 2.0.
 
 
9. How do I view a PDF?

PDF files are the default format for MSDS sheets and Product charts. To view a PDF file in PIMS users will select the PDF icon next to the document. Adobe Acrobat must be installed to open a PDF file and may be downloaded at http://www.adobe.com/acrobat/readme2allversions.html.

10. What if my session times out?

When you login to ItemHQ® you are starting a database connection call a session. Your session may time out when you login and stop using ItemHQ® for a period of time. Sessions will time out after 30 minutes of inactivity. If you get a message that tells you your session has timed out simply login again to continue using ItemHQ®. Product information is saved automatically and will not be affected by session timeouts.

11. How do I purchase products on ItemHQ?

ItemHQ® is not intended for purchasing products. ItemHQ® is an informational only service that provides a single location for Sporting and Shooting Product Information. Please see your local retail store for purchase information.

 
12. How do I use the product data on my website?

NASGW Wholesaler members may export product information from the PIMS web site. Export details are available to registered ItemHQ® members only.

 
13. Can I add videos?

Not currently, however we are discussing this option for a later release.

 
14. Can I add other media files or pdf's?
 
Yes. This will be addressed in a future release.

 
 
15. Can I import data or have data imported for us?
 
You will need to work with GA Communications to sync your data. Contact support@itemhq.com for more information.

 
16. How do I request edits to Departments, Categories, Sub-categories or Product Attributes?

To request edits to the Department, Category, Sub-Category, or Product Attributes please contact support@itemhq.com for more information.
